Welcome to Sheffield and Balby Area Meeting. This is a grouping of several Quaker Meetings within the same general locality. Our regular meetings for worship are held at the 'local meeting', but about 6 times per year we meet as an 'area meeting', to deal with certain business matters and to enjoy sharing social time together. Quakers are a faith group. We try to live in truth, peace, simplicity and equality, finding good and love in ourselves and those around us. Our meetings for worship offer a welcoming opportunity for spiritual exploration, refreshment, and sharing.
Living peacefully and promoting peace has always been a major concern for us. Friends at Sheffield Central meeting have recently (November 2023) agreed a statement on the Israel/Palestine conflict.
